Short answers to the things people ask most. Longer explanations live in the policy pages linked from each answer.

What is zmail.foo?

A verified professional email platform and marketplace. You get an @zmail.foo mailbox plus a public profile at profile.zmail.foo/<handle>, and, if you're a verified professional, you can be discovered and hired through the marketplace.

Is my handle final?

Yes. Once you claim a handle, it's fixed — this keeps your public profile URL and email address stable for your contacts. Choose carefully at signup.

How much does it cost to be listed as a professional?

A one-time signup fee of ₹60 and a recurring ₹30 per month. Current pricing is always shown at checkout. See the Subscription Policy for details.

How do I verify my account?

Verification uses email confirmation, a government ID + liveness selfie, and profession-specific proof (registration number or certificate). Start it from Settings → Verification. Details in the Verification Policy.

What does the verified badge mean?

It means our team reviewed your identity and profession-specific evidence. It is not an endorsement of quality, price, or outcomes.

Can I send email to Gmail, Outlook, and other providers?

Verified professionals can send to any external address. Delivery follows standard SPF/DKIM/DMARC on the sender domain. Non-verified accounts can email inside zmail.foo.

How are payments handled?

Payments for platform fees (publish, propose, subscribe) go through our partner PayU. zmail.foo does not hold funds paid directly between a client and a professional for services delivered off-platform.

Can I get a refund?

Publish and propose fees are non-refundable once used. Subscription fees are not pro-rated on cancellation. Discretionary refunds for duplicate charges or platform incidents are handled by billing@zmail.foo — see the Refund Policy.

How do OTPs work here?

We use email-only 6-digit codes for signup verification, password reset, email change, and sensitive actions. Codes expire quickly and are rate-limited per email and IP. We do not send OTPs via SMS.

How is my KYC data stored?

KYC documents live in a private bucket with row-level access. Only the verification team can read them, and only during review. Retention windows are in the Data Retention Policy.

How do I export or delete my data?

From Settings → Data & privacy. Export runs as a background job and emails you a download link. Deletion enters a 30-day grace window before it becomes permanent.

How do I stop marketing emails?

Every promotional email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also manage subscriptions in Settings → Email preferences. Security- and account-critical emails always send.

Who is the grievance officer?

Contact grievance@zmail.foo. Our full grievance process, including the IT Rules 2021 15-day response SLA, is in the Grievance Redressal Policy.

How do I report abuse or a scam?

Use the report button on any profile, message, or marketplace listing. For urgent safety issues, email support@zmail.foo with the URLs.

Do you run a bug bounty?

We don't publicly run a bounty, but we welcome disclosures at security@zmail.foo and will credit reporters. See the Security Policy.
