Account Deletion Policy

You can delete your account at any time. This satisfies the "right to erasure" under DPDP Act 2023 §12 and GDPR Article 17.

How to delete

1. Sign in and go to Settings → Danger zone.
2. Confirm by typing DELETE.
3. Your account is scheduled for deletion in 30 days.

The 30-day grace period

During grace, your account is hidden from the directory and cannot send mail. You can cancel deletion at any time from the same page. After 30 days, deletion is irreversible.

What is deleted

• Your profile, handle, avatar, bio, skills, services.
• Your sent and received messages and attachments.
• Your contacts and preferences.
• Your Supabase auth identity.

What is retained

• Audit-log entries about administrative actions (anonymised to your user id).
• Financial or legal records where retention is legally required (see Data Retention).
• Aggregated, non-identifying analytics.

Third parties

Copies of emails you sent to external recipients remain in those recipients' inboxes; we cannot delete them.
