Accessibility Statement

zmail.foo is designed to be usable by as many people as possible. We aim to meet the WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines across the public marketplace, directory, mail experience, and account settings.

What we do

• Semantic HTML with a single <main> landmark on each page.
• Keyboard navigation across menus, dialogs, forms, and the mail list.
• Focus-visible outlines on all interactive elements.
• Icon-only buttons carry descriptive aria-labels.
• Form fields are always paired with visible or programmatic labels.
• Colour is never the only signal for state — icons and text are used alongside.
• Tap targets on primary actions are at least 44×44 CSS px on mobile.
• Text can be zoomed to 200% without loss of content or function.

Known limitations

• Some legacy KYC document previews render as PDFs whose contents are supplied by the user; we cannot alt-text them.
• The virtualised mail list announces new rows only when they enter the viewport.

We treat every reported barrier as a bug and prioritise fixes.

Assistive tech tested

We routinely test against recent versions of VoiceOver (iOS/macOS), TalkBack (Android), NVDA (Windows), and keyboard-only navigation in Chromium and Firefox.

Reporting a barrier

If something on zmail.foo prevents you from completing a task, email accessibility@zmail.foo with the page URL, the assistive technology you were using, and what happened. We acknowledge accessibility reports within 3 business days.

Alternative access

If you cannot complete a task online, we will help you complete it another way — for example, verifying identity by a video call, or receiving grievance responses in a plain-text format. Ask via the address above.
